First off, let me say this. Wow. Seeing this reworked, at least the Vinyl half, is stunning.
It's great seeing that you have revamped and reworked the piece; it works so much better like this.
Now. My main thing here is your beautiful work with line and color. Your mix of warms and cools and the hues in between are executed perfectly here. Along with that, the line is constantly drawing my eyes up and down and through the work. Next up your use of movement really has this piece flowing together well. It doesn't seem to want to fall apart like some I've seen where an idea such as this is being tried to be implemented and it does not seem.. to quite work well.
Next up I have to mention that the background isn't too busy. It coincides well with the foreground characters.
I rated originality lower than the rest simply because I've seen things of this sort fairly often, although yours has been dutifully better in basically most ways. Technique is outstanding, and the impact, although I might be a tad biased here since Vinyl Scratch is my favorite pony, is punching through the screen. The way you have used shading as well as lighting makes everything POP so well.
Overall, 4.4 from me. Wonderful piece, Shnider, and I cannot wait to see more.
